A good Edwardian example, with an 84 cm clean fullered blade by ‘Thurkle, Soho, London’, etched with scrolling foliage, regimental title and motifs, crowned Royal arms, cypher, cannon etc., with a regulation three-bar steel hilt, wire bound fish skin grip, in its steel scabbard, upon close inspection, signs of sharpening and or cleaning to a very small and unnoticeable area to the blade edge, otherwise very good condition; with another sword, circa 1822-1845, this example in poor condition with a dirty blade, a restoration project, the scabbard in good condition (2) £140-£180.
