Rare and hard-to-find objects personally donated by Pope Leo XIV to a prominent figure during a private audience. Specifically, this is a splendid Rosary crown of Pope Leo XIV complete with an elegant blue leather case bearing the Pope's crest with his motto "IN ILLO UNO UNUM". The Rosary is made with precious white glass paste beads of the highest quality, with a total length of about 53 cm. Together with the Rosary is a rare complete series of Vatican Euro coins from Pope Leo XIV, the first coins of his Pontificate. The newly issued Vatican divisional series, the first of the Pope Leo XIV's pontificate, directly draws inspiration from the papal coat of arms, reproduced on the cover with a plaster-like effect and embossed on an ivory background, while a deep blue colors the inscriptions and raised design elements, recalling the colors of the two heraldic fields of the pontifical shield. The same color pairing would later feature even more prominently in the new packaging line that will accompany future numismatic issues. Therefore, it is not merely an aesthetic choice but a true homage and a direct reference to the new pontificate. The coins housed inside feature an unprecedented alternation between the Pope’s effigy and the papal coat of arms: the effigy appears on the larger denominations, the coat of arms on the smaller ones, in a graphic design without precedent in the history of Vatican divisional coins. The 2-euro coin also contains the distinctive elements of Leo’s coat of arms: the lily, symbol of purity and Marian devotion, and the burning heart pierced by an arrow above an open book, emblem of Augustinian spirituality and the power of God’s Word capable of transforming the human heart. Artist and sculptor: Daniela Longo Engravers: 2 euro: Emanuele Ferretti 1 euro: Marta Bonifacio 50 eurocent: Antonio Vecchio 20 eurocent: Silvia Petrassi 10 eurocent: Annalisa Masini 5 eurocent: Valerio de Seta 2 eurocent: Emanuele Ferretti 1 eurocent: Antonio Vecchio These two objects were directly gifted by Pope Leo XIV to some senior members of the diplomatic corps who had the privilege of greeting him personally in Vatican City; they cannot be bought in any shop as they are exclusive gifts made specifically for the Pope and handed over only by him personally. Together with the two objects is included an official photo of Pope Leo XIV, on the back of which is an image in color of the Pope’s crest and below a faithful reproduction of the Papal signature; the accompanying photo for the auction clearly shows the extreme care taken in producing both the rosary and the book. Worldwide shipping in rigid packaging is possible.
