Romano Mussolini (1983) - Via dei Fori Imperiali

Romano MUSSOLINI (1927-2006) – RARE HISTORICAL MASTERPIECE – "Via dei Fori Imperiali" in Rome (1983) – Oil on Canvas 40x60 cm – Provenance File & Double Certification of Origin (Studio Garivini / Milan) [ A MAJOR WORK THAT BREAKS THE ROUTINE – MUCH MORE SOUGHT AFTER THAN HIS CLOWNS ] If Romano Mussolini is world-renowned for his countless clown paintings (Pagliacci), this masterful work breaks completely with the beaten track and represents the pinnacle of his art. For discerning collectors and investors, this historic architectural landscape is infinitely rarer, nobler and more sought after than his mass-produced clown subjects. It is a coveted piece, rich in symbolic charge and exclusivity that make it a genuine opportunity on the art market. [ A UNIQUE & INTENSE HISTORICAL CONTEXT ] Entitled "Via dei Fori Imperiali", this painting of rare dramatic intensity depicts the famous Roman artery leading to the Colosseum. The subject takes on an absolute historical and intimate dimension: the monumental renovation, trenching and archaeological clearance works of this very avenue were ordered and inaugurated by his own father, Benito Mussolini, in the 1930s. By painting these relics with this melancholic touch, Romano Mussolini casts a unique and poignant look at the architectural heritage tied to the history of his own lineage. [ EXCEPTIONAL PROVENANCE & INTACT HISTORICAL TRACEABILITY ] This painting has a perfect conservation history, staying in the same private family collection since its creation. It is sold with its complete original documentary file (glued to the back of the painting) which guarantees absolute authenticity: 1.
