A bit of its story: Rolex DateJust (inspired by Rolex Bubbleback) was first introduced in 1945 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rolex. The Datejust is one of the earliest Rolex models that survives till today. Rolex’s ref. 162XX series of Datejust watches first emerged in 1988, a replacement for the relatively short-lived ref. 160XX range.
