Rogers, Texas. $20 1882 Value Back. Fr. 581. First NB. Charter #5704.

Rogers, Texas. $20 1882 Value Back. Fr. 581. First NB. Charter #5704. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20. A rarity for Texas regardless of the issuing bank. This evenly circulated Series of 1882 $20 Value Back issued by the First National Bank of Rogers (Charter# 5704) after 1915 is a decidedly scarce note as one of 26 non-institutional pieces recorded on this Bell County-based institution. Here one may also appreciate more than just the grade assigned. From the engraved form of this short-lived type to the fact that this example offers an exceptional degree of eye appeal for the grade assigned amplified by vivid stamped signatures attributable to Cashier W.B. Thomas and President J.H. Wear, it takes little to reason that bidders certainly have an opportunity here deserving of a series of strong bids. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimate:$600
