He entered the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg, from which he left in 1948 to move to the Territoire de Belfort. He settled in 1954 at Montreux-Château and held his first Paris exhibition at Galerie de Paris in 1960. Then in Geneva, London, Milan, Dallas, Cologne, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Kyoto, Belfort and New York.
