Circa 1980, patinated cast bronze and chromed metal, unsigned, together with a wooden display pedestal. 37 x 28 x 19 1/4 in. Property of the artist Sculptor and ceramic artist, Rodger Lang, was an instructor at Metropolitan State College of Denver as well as the Cleveland Institute of Art. Before taking the Cleveland position, he was a glassblowing instructor in the summer program at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and was a ceramics and design instructor at Milton College in Wisconsin. He received a bachelor's degree in art with an emphasis in ceramics, painting and collage in 1964 from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He received a master's degree in art with an emphasis on ceramics and glassblowing in 1965 from the University of Wisconsin and a master of fine arts degree from the same university in 1966. Overall good condition; some spotting to the chrome and a few surface marks to patina; minor marks and scuffs to the pedestal.
