Robert "Mouseman" Thompson (1876-1955), also known as 'Mousey' Thompson, was a British furniture maker based in Kilburn, Yorkshire, England. He established a workshop specializing in oak furniture, distinguished by the signature carved mouse on nearly every piece. This canted rectangular block features a central circular bowl with a single notch designed for a cigarette. A high-relief mouse is carved on one corner, exemplifying Thompson's iconic motif. Crafted from a single oak block, the piece displays a pronounced grain and a medium-brown polished finish, with a flat, unadorned underside.
