Riviera Tiles - Figure - 'The Blue Octopus' - Large...

“Le Poulpe Bleu” is a large decorative ceramic panel composed of 12 tiles (4 × 3), forming a composition of approximately 45 × 60 cm. Inspired by grand Mediterranean décors, Art Nouveau, and Portuguese azulejos, this creation features a majestic octopus surrounded by arabesques and floral motifs. The organic lines, decorative volutes, and deep shades of blue pay tribute to the major currents of the decorative arts at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, while offering a contemporary interpretation. Each tile is individually crafted in our workshop in France using a high-definition sublimation process on premium matte-finish ceramic. The pigments are transferred under high temperature and high pressure to achieve great detail, deep colors, and excellent durability over time. Each panel requires about 4 hours of work, from artistic conception to production. This time includes the creation of the decor, color adjustments, file preparation, the individual pressing of the 12 tiles, quality control, and final assembly. The tiles are shipped separately and are neither glued nor mounted on a backing. Each tile is independent, giving the buyer complete freedom to choose their installation method. The work can be: - laid directly on a wall, with or without grout depending on the desired look; - integrated into a backsplash or wall decor; - framed; - or fixed to the backing of one’s choice. Each tile is carefully protected in an individual pouch before being packed for transport to ensure optimal protection Features Publisher: Riviera Tiles Title: The Blue Octopus Composition: 12 tiles Dimensions of each tile: 15.3 × 15.3 cm Overall dimensions: approximately 45 × 60 cm Support: premium ceramic Finish: matte Technique: high-definition sublimation under hot press Manufacture: artisanal, individually crafted in France Era: contemporary creation Condition: new Care & maintenance To sustainably preserve the quality of the artwork and the brilliance of its colors, it is recommended to clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products, solvents, or harsh detergents that could alter the finish. This creation is water-resistant and is perfectly suitable for humid rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, or covered and protected patios. For optimal long-term color preservation, it is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to direct UV rays or to weather. This artwork is intended for indoor use or for sheltered outdoor spaces (covered patio, conservatory, protected terrace, etc.). Authenticity & fabrication Each panel is made individually in our workshop and may be produced again within the Riviera Tiles permanent collection. Because of its artisanal manufacturing process and pigment transfer under high temperature, slight variations in hue, saturation, texture, or finish may appear from one piece to another. These characteristics are inherent to the manufacturing process and do not constitute manufacturing defects. They attest to the artisanal nature of each creation and make every panel unique. About Riviera Tiles Riviera Tiles is a French publishing house specializing in the creation of contemporary ceramic decorative panels. Each collection draws inspiration from the Mediterranean, architectural heritage, and the major movements of the decorative arts, notably Art Nouveau, to create works that blend artisanal know-how, contemporary innovation, and timeless elegance.
