Ritual dance puppet. Salampasu people, Democratic Republic of Congo

Descriptio Wood and plant fiber. Dimensions: 45 cm. Articulated figure used in ritual dances of the Salampasu people, carved from wood and dressed in plant fiber elements, with a conical headdress and a mukinka-type frontal mask.
