RIOPELLE (Jean-Paul). A Retrospective: 1963–1993. Évreux, Musée d'Évreux – Ancien Évêché, 1993. Exhibition catalog published on the occasion of the retrospective dedicated to Jean-Paul Riopelle, a leading figure in Canadian and international lyrical abstraction. The book spans three decades of the artist’s work and presents a representative selection of his artistic explorations, from the gestural compositions of the 1960s to the monumental works of his mature period. Numerous color reproductions, critical essays, and biographical notes accompany this publication, which has become a rarity on the market and is particularly sought after by collectors of exhibition catalogs devoted to Canadian contemporary art. A fine copy.
