Ring - 18 kt. Yellow gold Diamond (Natural) - Diamond - Tank

18 karat yellow gold tank ring set with 20 Old European cut diamonds of approximately 0.60 ct each, surrounded by 24 single cut diamonds with a total of about 0.12 ct. The diamonds are set in white gold pavé settings. The tank ring originated in the 1940s-1950s. Because gold became scarce during World War II, valuable jewelry was melted down into more compact, easier-to-transport objects—the tank ring was born. The wartime jewel is named after the tanks from this war period, and imitates the massive, heavy lines and rough structures of the tanks and their tracks. Ring size: 19 mm / 60 (EU) / 20 (IT) / 9 US Center width: about 15 mm Diamond specification: Cut: Old European and Single Cut Size: 20x around 0.03 ct and 12x around 0.005 ct (total about 0.72 ct) Clarity: SI-P Color: G-I Quality: Wear and use marks consistent with age and use. The carat weight of the old-cut diamonds is an estimate. Some diamonds may show slight wear. For your own impression, please see the photos.
