This Revue Thommen Airspeed ref. 16085 is an automatic Swiss chronograph with strong and explicit aeronautical inspiration: large, clearly legible Arabic numerals, silver dial, subdials at 3–6–9, tachymeter on the rim. But what sets it apart from traditional chronographs are two complications that catch the eye at first glance: The Big Date at 12 o'clock – It isn’t the simple date window found on standard chronographs: it’s a true Big Date implemented with a dedicated module, visible with two large-format digits on the dial. It’s the feature that makes this version instantly recognizable. The Flyback function – While the chronograph is running, just press the reset button to zero and restart the timing instantly, without stopping and starting anew. A complication beloved by pilots (from which the name derives) and rarely present in this price range. The heart: automatic movement J8151 – The movement is built on the proven Valjoux/ETA 7750 chronograph platform, one of the most robust and respected Swiss automatic calibers, enriched with the Big Date module.
