A complete and well-preserved Resistance Farbstab-Haemometer, a classic medical laboratory instrument used for determining the hemoglobin concentration in blood using the color comparison (Sahli/Farbstab) method. This original set is housed in its attractive red textured case and retains its measuring components, reagent bottle, glass tubes, comparator, pipette and accessories. The original Dutch calibration card inside the lid states that the instrument was calibrated on 5 June 1954 (5/6/’54) by Dr. C. Romijn, adding historical authenticity and provenance to the set. The case is marked “FARBSTAB-HAEMOMETER” and bears the Resistance trademark. The comparator is marked Made in Germany, indicating high-quality German manufacture. An appealing example of mid-20th-century medical history, ideal for collectors of scientific and medical instruments, laboratories, museums or historical medical collections. Condition Very good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. The case, interior and instruments are well preserved. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description. Professionally packed and shipped with care.
