Red Riding Hood Comic Book - The Island of Lost Ships - ORIG - Lot 78

Red Riding Hood Comic Book - The Island of Lost Ships - ORIGINAL 1980 EDITION (Fleurus) A graphic novel from the series *The New Adventures of Redbeard*, titled *The Island of Lost Ships*, written by Jean-Michel Charlier and illustrated by Jijé and Lorg. A beautiful collector’s copy certified as a First Edition. Copy details: Publisher: Éditions Fleurus (logo in the lower left corner of the cover). Legal deposit date: 2nd quarter of 1980. Copyright: © 1980, Koralle, Hamburg. ISBN: 2-215-00328-6. Back cover: The list of titles “Previously published in this collection” mentions only *Raid sur la Corne d’Or*. The absence of this title as well as subsequent volumes indisputably confirms that this is the very first printing of the album. Overall condition: The album is in excellent condition. The front cover is remarkably fresh, with bright, well-preserved colors. The back cover, set against a white background, is particularly clean and in good condition, with no annotations. The corners and edges are straight and sharp, with subtle signs of handling that are entirely normal for a book of this era. The interior pages show slight foxing and age-related oxidation spots, mainly located in the white margins, which do not interfere with reading. The block is perfectly intact within its original binding. A historic and well-preserved item, ideal for completing a collection of first editions from the Fleurus/Koralle period.
