Rare and not often offers a beautiful 70’s Realistic QTA-753 is a vintage quadraphonic (4-channel) stereo receiver sold by Radio Shack in the mid-1970s (about 1974–1976). Features and specs : Power: About 15 to 20 watts per channel in 4-channel mode. Stereomax Function: The receiver features Radio Shack's signature "Stereomax" switch. This allows you to bridge the four amplifiers to a more powerful 2-channel stereo mode (about 30 watts per channel), or play a standard signal across all four speakers at the same time, controlling the front and back separately. Quadraphony: It is a "true quad" amplifier with four physical outputs, but the device lacks built-in decoders for matrix quad radio (such as SQ or QS) or CD-4 gramophone records. To play true discrete 4-channel audio from records, an external decoder is required. Housing: Classic 70s aesthetic, finished with a walnut veneer housing and an illuminated front panel with analog VU meters Please note that everything works BEHALVE FM reception I hear static but I can’t get any stations may be due to bad reception from where I have been testing the unit or probably something else rather than that everything works. Pictures are original of this lot and part of description!
