Rast auf dem Felde (Rest in the Fields) Adam von Bartsch

A fine and richly coloured impression, printing evenly and with delicately nuanced tones. The carefully modulated colouring lends the composition a pleasing sense of depth and liveliness after the watercolour of the same title (Wichmann 544), depicting peasants and children in the traditional costume of the Amper region. Trimmed within the platemark on three sides. The sheet lightly time-stained with age. A few small spots and areas of paper thinning verso. Otherwise in good condition. | 1757 - Wien - 1821 | 19. Jahrhundert | Druckgrafik | Nummer: 26x0950
