Rare violet erythrite

From our selection of collectible minerals, we present a rare group of Eritrite crystals from Bou Azzer, Morocco. Moreover, it is characterized by acicular tufts of purple-violet crystals that radiate in a wheel-like fashion within cavities of the dark matrix, in stark contrast with white quartz inclusions, elements that enhance its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact. Eritrite, known among collectors as the "cobalt bloom" (cobalt flower), owes its intense purple-pink color to cobalt ions in octahedral coordination within the crystal structure. The Bou Azzer mine in Morocco is the world's most important deposit for this cobalt arsenate, historically exploited for cobalt and nickel extraction from primary minerals such as skutterudite, of which Eritrite represents a secondary alteration product in the oxide zone. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, even in the realm of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for very rare cases always noted in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
