Opalescent Ammonite Euaspidoceras Perarmatum is an extinct genus of ammonite cephalopods that lived about 163 million years ago in the Early Jurassic. Ammonites are one of the most well-known fossils; this is due to their distinctive spiral-shaped shell, which resembles what we know as a snail's shell, although these creatures are not related to snails at all! They were marine animals that existed from 240 to 65 million years ago and had a coiled outer shell like that of the modern Nautilus, and although they resembled a modern Nautilus, these mollusks are more closely related to living cephalopods, i.e., octopuses, squids, and cuttlefish.
