Rare Junghans “Pneuora” Pneumatic square wall clock, model type 191, circa 1930s, 9” diameter, silvered dial with Arabic numerals and twenty-four hour chapter ring branded “Junghans Elektronom”, the dial also bears the retailer’s signature of Fritz Laes, Uhren, Gold-und Silberwaren, Peine', in a wooden case, 13" square (the dial has been removed to display the movement) ** This example was listed for sale in the Junghans 1930 catalogue under the brand name of “Elektronom” ** This entirely self-contained pneumatic clock uses its compressor lamp to drive the piston which in turn rewinds the spring-driven platform escapement clock ** From the David Read Collection
