Rare, intensely green demantoid garnet

Splendid specimen of Demantoid, green variety of Garnet Andradite, from the rare locality Belqeys Mountain, Takab County, in West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. The crystals, in intense green color, show a well-developed and lustrous dodecahedral/trapezohedral habit, arranged on a light-green matrix with small quartz crystals at the base. The main crystal reaches about 14 mm in size, while numerous smaller satellite crystals adorn the formation. These features add aesthetic and mineralogical value to the piece. It is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the realm of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best highlight colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
