RARE GREEN TWINNED FLUORITE

From our selection of collectible minerals, we offer a splendid group of Fluorite crystals from the Rogerley Mine in England. Moreover, it is characterized by intensely green cubic crystals, some gemmy, closely aggregated on matrix and endowed with a marked blue fluorescence under ultraviolet light, which enhances their aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for its crystal quality and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance the natural structure and visual impact. The Rogerley Mine, in Weardale (County Durham), is one of the few mines in the world operated exclusively for the production of sporting collection specimens, not for industrial purposes. Its green fluorite owes the characteristic blue-violet fluorescence to traces of terbium and samarium substituting calcium in the crystal lattice, a phenomenon that has made this locality famous among collectors worldwide. The green color of the mineral is instead linked to color centers induced by natural irradiation during its geological formation. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in tone may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
