RARE GREEN FLUORITE with PHANTOMS and PYRITE

From our selection of collectible minerals, we propose a rare group of fluorite crystals with pyrite from the Hermine Mine in Lissenthan, Nabburg, Bavaria (Germany). Moreover, it is characterized by a marked green and yellow-gold color zoning that draws clear growth ghosts inside the cubic fluorite crystals, enriched by minute crystallizations of metallic pyrite on the faces, in addition to the reported fluorescence and the rare locality, elements that increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical significance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that enhance its natural structure and visual impact. The 'ghosts' visible inside the fluorite crystals are thin growth zones that record variations in the hydrothermal fluid composition during crystal formation, often related to trace elements or lattice defects responsible also for the different color tones. The Nabburg-Wölsendorf district in Bavaria has been for decades one of Europe’s most important areas for fluorite mining, now exhausted and no longer active, which makes pieces like this increasingly difficult to obtain on the market. The associated pyrite, an iron sulfide, typically crystallizes in cubic or octahedral forms, and its characteristic golden shine has given rise to the common nickname of 'fool’s gold.' This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, even within crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always noted in the description. Photos are taken with professional lighting to best highlight colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
