Splendid and authentic ceremonial chariot from a Hindu temple (Rath), dating to the late 18th century or the first half of the 19th century. A sacred and devotional Indian folk art artifact, it clearly stands out from commercial reproductions and is a true high-era collector's piece. The main structure is cast in heavy solid bronze with a high copper content. The wheel axle and locking pins are entirely hand-forged in wrought iron at the forge, with pin heads hot-riveted to irregular wedges. Made using the traditional lost-wax method or earth/clay mold. The interior of the cart features the typical porous, rough 'casting skin'. Native structure divided into two independent, disassemblable parts (cart and draft animal group with horse) through a system of eyelets cast directly into the block. The wheels rotate smoothly on their axles. The object is completely free of chemical paints, varnishes, or modern bitumen. It presents a superb deep and authentic chemical patina, characterized by dark oxidation in the recesses and stable verdigris (natural copper carbonate) growth accumulated over decades. - Dimensions: 30 cm (length) x 17 cm (height) - Weight: 3000 grams (3 kg) - Shipping method: Careful shipment via trackable express courier, professional reinforced packaging specific for heavy bronze objects.
