Original, unique, and hand-painted work by Raphaël Monnet Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting where color becomes material, rhythm, and movement. He treats the canvas as an space of experimentation. The painting is projected, accumulated, and confronted with opposing colors. The impacts cross, certain areas densify while others allow the background to breathe. His process does not rely on a pre-made image but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an balance emerges between apparent disorder and pictorial organization. Based in the Léo Varek workshop in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around the projection and overlay of colors. His works have an immediate presence at a distance and reveal, when you approach, a multitude of details, shades, and unexpected encounters between pigments. Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of the projections, the distribution of material, and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically. A painted peripheral edge is intended to be folded over the sides of the frame, without encroaching on the main composition. Some images show the work in situ to facilitate its projection into an interior. They are created using the ArtStage staging software which makes AI mockups. Proportions may slightly vary depending on the setups. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the real size of the work. The edges are partially painted and allow for a clean finish after mounting. Shipping The work is shipped rolled in a rigid protective packaging, with no frame or stretcher. Slight creases may appear on receipt. This is perfectly normal for a rolled canvas. These marks naturally disappear when the canvas is put under tension. For optimal results, it is recommended to have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer. Shipments are made by express courier — DHL, FedEx, or equivalent — with careful tracking until delivery. Some destination countries may incur additional shipping charges beyond my control. In such cases, the buyer will be informed before shipment in order to adjust the frais if necessary. Without approval of these fees, shipment cannot proceed.
