Acrylic on strong paper, ivory tone 100 x 70 cm (105 x 75 cm including margins) Signed and dated on the back by the artist Certificate of authenticity signed by Ralf Altrieth DESCRIPTION: This original work by Ralf Altrieth unfolds a lush universe where figures, sketched characters, signs and abstract forms intersect in an incessant game of lines and colors. Some presences stand out clearly, while others remain half-hidden in the material. The gaze moves freely, shifting from one appearance to another without ever exhausting the richness of the composition. Between free figuration, instinctive drawing and graphic poetry, the work does not seek to impose a precise reading. It rather allows the imagination to establish its own associations. Through its energy and visual density, it first attracts with its liveliness and colors, then holds the eye with the multitude of details and presences that gradually reveal themselves. At the boundary between drawing and painting, this work bears witness to a deeply personal language of Ralf Altrieth: a free and instinctive creation where gesture, imagination and material meet without ever losing their spontaneity. CRITIQUE: "There is a lot of poetry in this painting, as in all the artist’s works. They are populated with narrative codes and fantastical tales. In this sense, the painterly poems of Ralf Altrieth are a pure childish chant... But the most amazing thing that manifests in these paintings is a communicative tenderness for the states of mind of the human being." — Dr. Friedhelm Häring, museum director and art historian "His gesture- and color-driven writing describes a world open to new voices and experiments never attempted. His canvases and works on paper demonstrate that painting remains a major expression of the contemporary scene." — Laurent Puech, art historian and curator BIOGRAPHY: Ralf Altrieth (Heilbronn, 1966) is a Franco-German painter and musician celebrated for his expressive, spontaneous universe, at the border between figuration and abstraction. Trained in his teens with the painter Georg Schaible and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nürtingen in the late 1980s, his work stands out for its rare pictorial energy and a highly sensitive language. His works are currently in numerous private collections around the world. SHIPPING: The work will be shipped rolled in a solid tube to ensure secure transport. It is entrusted to an express carrier offering home delivery, with full tracking and signature on delivery, to guarantee the best protection of the artwork until it is handed to you in person. NOTE ABOUT THE MARGINS: The outer margins of the paper show a few marks related to the removal of masking tape. They are perfectly normal and occur only on the unpainted areas. They will be masked by the matting if you choose that method, or can be removed by trimming the work from 75 × 105 cm to 70 × 100 cm (see situational visuals): place the glass on the paper, then cut. Your local framer can handle this easily. Note: The situational display images are presentation suggestions created with AI based on photos of the actual work. Photos of the real object are authoritative (the whole work, close-up details, profile photos and back signature). The tones may vary slightly depending on your screen's color profile.
