Applied faceted indices and the signature Rado anchor logo add excellent depth, while a distinct date window at three o'clock features striking red numerals. The surface remains clean with no visible moisture damage or heavy spotting. The original baton hands feature luminous material that appears intact but aged, showing light surface oxidation appropriate for a vintage watch under macro inspection. Case and Crystal The cushion-shaped stainless steel case features an integrated design without a separate bezel ring, utilizing brushed and polished surfaces. It displays honest wear consistent with age and use, including moderate scratches and scuffs visible on the polished upper surfaces and flanks, though the edges remain reasonably defined. The watch retains its functional crown, which shows light wear to the knurling and is signed with the Rado anchor logo. The screw-down caseback displays the brand's detailed Seahorse medallion. The distinctive multi-faceted crystal exhibits several light to moderate scratches across its surface, but no major chips or cracks are observed. Movement Inside beats the automatic caliber 2824, stamped with 25 jewels and the Rado signature. Condition Good vintage condition. The case, crystal, and original bracelet display honest wear, with moderate scratches and scuffs expected from regular use. The dial remains in excellent, well-preserved condition, while the hands show appropriate light aging. Supported by the recorded timegrapher result, the movement is performing very strongly. Dimensions The case measures 36 mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Rado Kriens offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire a distinctive 1970s timepiece. The combination of the striking green-to-gold gradient dial, the period-correct faceted crystal, and the original signed bracelet makes it a compelling choice for collectors appreciating this specific era of design. History During the 1970s, Rado became famous for its bold and unconventional designs. The Kriens model is a prime example of this expressive era, featuring a cushion-shaped stainless steel case and a distinctive faceted mineral crystal with geometric cuts. The screw-down caseback proudly displays the brand's detailed Seahorse medallion, a hallmark of Rado's commitment to quality during this period. While perhaps less universally recognized than the Diastar line, the Kriens represents a highly accessible and thoroughly authentic expression of Rado's vintage design philosophy.
