Splendid specimen of Fluorite and Calcite from Stanhope, County Durham, England, United Kingdom, a rare and sought-after locality for this mineral species. The Fluorite crystals display a characteristic well-developed cubic habit, purple/gray in color; the violet hues are particularly accentuated when exposed to natural light as shown in the photo, the crystals are arranged on a matrix of quartz and white crystalline calcite. Under UV lamp the piece shows an intense blue fluorescence, a feature that adds further charm and mineralogical value to the piece. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the realm of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, except for rare occasions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best showcase colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
