Precious Ring with an Untreated Sapphire & Diamonds in Platinum, c. 1925

A precious cushion, made of a stunning gemstone sparkles in this luxurious ring. It features a magnificent 5.30 carat sapphire in a rich, radiant blue. A halo of 24 sparkling diamonds surrounds the gemstone. Platinum settings hold the gemstones, lifting them slightly above the finger so that plenty of light can make them shine. A delicate platinum ring band completes the design. What makes this ring special is the exceptional quality of the sapphire. The stone has not been heat-treated, so its colour is completely natural. Stones like this, weighing more than five carats, are exceptionally rare finds. We therefore commissioned a detailed appraisal from the German Association for Gemstone Evaluation Idar-Oberstein regarding the quality of the sapphire and the ring’s other materials. The ring was handcrafted around 1925. Its design is classic, yet still modern and fresh today. In addition, its compact shape and relatively flat profile make it comfortable to wear. This beautiful ring came to us from southern Germany.
