The vehicle combines a classic look with technical upgrades that provide a more modern driving experience, such as a rack and pinion steering and an upgraded suspension. After the restoration, the car has been handled with care and the revised V8 engine has logged only about 1,500 km. BODYWORK/PAINT: The bodywork was fully stripped, sandblasted, and placed in an epoxy primer during the restoration to prevent rust. About 5 years ago, the car was painted in a stylish dark green Land Rover color with a multi-layer clear coat, which is in very good condition. The underside, wheel wells, and cargo area are protected with a gray body coating. The door seals and window visors have been renewed. INTERIOR: The interior is in neat and well-functioning condition. The front seats show some light cracking; however, the seller provides new, original GM upholstery to restore this. Both the battery and the fuel tank are neatly housed in the trunk. ENGINE AND TECHNICAL: The vehicle is powered by a 455 ci Big Block V8 engine that was fully rebuilt about 1,500 km ago, including a rebuilt crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, and camshaft. The powerful engine is paired with a TH400 automatic transmission and an Eaton differential (3.08 gearing). The exhaust system is welded and equipped with Turbo Mufflers for a deep V8 sound. The chassis and suspension feature new Koni shock absorbers, as well as new body- and underbody rubbers. At the front, there are disc brakes with Pontiac Trans Am calipers; at the rear, there are drum brakes with good shoes. Thanks to the installed rack and pinion steering, the vehicle has a modern and precise steering feel. The vehicle can be viewed and picked up.
