Pocket watch/shaped watch: arguably the rarest gold and enamel mandolin

Ca. 63 mm long, ca. 20 g, 18-carat gold, original Oriental pearl setting, red engine-turned enamel, No. 2062, Sides depicting a musical score of the piece *Paul et Virginie* by Jean-François Le Sueur; the front offers a view of the balance wheel; the case opens to reveal the hidden verge movement; enamelled dial (small chip on the winding aperture); gold hands; the movement is intact and very well preserved.
