Ø50mm, ca. 113g, protective case covered in stingray skin, inner case 18K, London hallmarks 1781, signed dome bearing the same number, exquisite, signed cylinder movement with diamond endstone, enamel dial, steel hands, movement intact, but in urgent need of cleaning. John Ellicott (Jr.) initially ran his business on Austin Friars Street, EC2, and later in Swithin’s Alley at the Royal Exchange. In 1738, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society.
