An elegant antique dish of softly squared form, with rounded corners and an undulating rim. The intricate blue decoration unfolds across an ivory-toned ground, combining flowering peonies, scrolling foliage and a central butterfly. Three ornamental medallions appear to depict pine, bamboo and flowering prunus, traditionally known as the “Three Friends of Winter”. The delicate botanical details and flowing composition give the piece a refined decorative presence. Condition: a section of the rim has been restored, with visible repair lines. Glaze crazing and other signs of age are also present. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. Attributed to China, 19th century 1850’s. Height — 4.3 cm L x W — 22.5 cm х 22.3 cm
