Pioneer - SX-850 Solid state stereo amplifier

Pioneer SX 850 Device in nice used condition. Recently serviced. Sounds fantastic. Used in combination with JBL 4312, Pioneer HPM 100 and Bowers & Wilkins CM9 Key specifications: • Power: 65 watts per channel into 8 ohms (and 85 watts into 4 ohms). In practice these vintage receivers often deliver considerably more dynamic headroom than the official figures at the time suggested. • Weight: An impressive 19.1 kg, typical of the heavy, solid build quality of the 70s (large transformers and massive heat sinks). • Design: Characteristic brushed silver front panel, a solid wood case (woodcase) and the iconic warm amber-colored display lighting. • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): Less than 0.1%, which yields very pure and undistorted sound, even at higher volumes. Why is the SX-850 so beloved? • The Phono stage: The receiver features an exceptionally quiet, three-stage direct-coupled phono equalizer with very accurate RIAA correction. Vinyl enthusiasts highly value this model for the warm and dynamic reproduction of vinyl. • Sound character: The SX-850 is known for its "warm, musical and powerful" sound with a controlled, deep bass response. • Comparison with bigger brothers: Although the SX-1050 and SX-1250 deliver even more power, the internal layout and audio quality of the SX-850 are virtually identical. Unless you need to fill a huge room with very insensitive loudspeakers, the 850 offers exactly the same listening experience
