PINK MORRO - Night Icarus - XL - No Reserve Price

IGHT ICARUS is a large-format painting about movement. On a black background, a vertical shape of pure color (electric blue, yellow, orange and neon pink) climbs the canvas like a flame. The contrast with black makes each color shine even brighter. The title comes from Icarus, the one who flies too close to the sun. In the canvas you can read it in the upward direction of the composition and in the turquoise drips that fall on the left side, where what rises ends up coming down. The work combines broad, impasto white strokes, drips, splashes, lime neon spray and quick black gestural marks, almost graffiti-like. Acrylic, spray, graphite and waxes are layered in crossing paths that accelerate, and the eye travels across the canvas without pausing at a single point. Movement and light are both the method of creation and the subject of the work. - Artist: Pink Morro Title: Night Icarus Year: 2026 Style: Contemporary Abstraction / Abstract Expressionism Technique: Acrylic, spray paint, charcoal and oil wax on canvas Dimensions of the work: 105 × 70 cm Total dimensions: including approximately 5 cm added on each side for later mounting Edition: Unique original work Signature: Hand-signed by the artist.
