Philips - Philetta B2D93A Tube radio

Philips Philetta B2D93A – ivory-colored tube radio, 1959/1960 For sale is a charming Philips Philetta B2D93A from the years 1959/1960 in the very nice ivory color variant. The compact Philetta belongs to the characteristic table radios of its era and combines the typical mid-century look with a versatile set of features for the time. The ivory-colored housing gives the radio a especially timeless and decorative aura. The radio is functional. In a test function, numerous stations could be received via FM. The reception and sound convey the distinctive impression of a historic valve radio. One scale lamp is defective, so the scale illumination does not work completely. The housing is in an age-appropriate condition with minor signs of use. These are to be expected for the age of the device and do not significantly impair the decorative overall effect. Overall, the radio presents itself as a beautiful and charming collectible item. Technical specifications The device has 5 tubes and operates on the superheterodyne principle. Reception is possible on: - Longwave (LW) - Mediumwave (MW) - Shortwave (KW) - FM (UKW) The built-in dynamic oval speaker measures about 150 × 100 mm and delivers an output of approximately 3 watts. In addition, there are connections for a phonograph cartridge and an external speaker. Manufacturer: Deutsche Philips-Ges. Model: Philetta B2D93A Year of manufacture: 1959/1960 Color: Ivory Case: Bakelite/pressed fiber Röhren: 5 Reception: LW, MW, KW and FM Dimensions: approx. 289 × 186 × 167 mm Weight: approx. 3.7 kg Original price: 195 DM Important safety note This Philips Philetta is a mains-operated device. Such historic valve radios can, by design, have mains-related components and should therefore not be operated without appropriate expert inspection and suitable protection measures. Operation or technical inspection should be carried out exclusively by a suitably qualified specialist. For safe operation, the use of a suitable isolation transformer is especially recommended. The device is offered as a historic collectible item. The current function has been checked; due to its age, an expert technical inspection prior to regular use is expressly recommended. A beautiful original piece of German radio history that is suitable both as a decorative collector’s item and for enthusiasts of classic valve technology. Have fun bidding Best regards
