Philips - FA 950 Solid state stereo receiver

The Philips FA 950 is the high-end integrated amplifier of the famous 900 series, marketed from 1992-1993. Solid power: It delivers 2 x 100 Watts RMS into 8 Ohms (and is advertised up to 135 Watts per channel according to certain era standards). It features a comfortable dynamic current reserve (Extended Dynamics) to drive demanding speakers. Built-in DAC (Digital Inputs): Unlike classic amplifiers of its time, it has its own digital-to-analog converter (Bitstream converter) with optical and coaxial inputs. Source Direct function: This option allows bypassing the tone control circuitry (bass, treble, balance) to send the audio signal ultra-pure to the speakers Evolved Phono Stage: For vinyl lovers, its Phono input handles both classic MM (Moving Magnet) and high-end MC (Moving Coil) cartridges via a front-panel selector. Separability of preamp/amp: The jumpers at the back (Pre Out / Main In) allow isolating the preamplifier section or using it only as a power block. Photos are an integral part of the description. The package will be carefully prepared and the amplifier well protected.
