Peterson - Standard System Medium Smooth 313 - No reserve price - Pipe - Briar

The most classic Peterson of Dublin pipe is the Peterson Standard System Heritage - 313 P-Lip Bent Billiard. Equipped with a large metal band and a wonderful curved palatal P-Lip acrylic mouthpiece. The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system. This is a reservoir in the shank under the head whose job is to keep the tobacco dry. All the moisture – that is the goal – is directed into the reservoir. Peterson pipes, personally crafted and made entirely by hand, are the fruit of long, patient work at the southern Dublin headquarters, where one of the world's oldest pipe factories is located: Peterson of Dublin. Characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance, and practicality. All Peterson Standard System Heritage - 313 P-Lip Bent Billiard pipes are carved from the finest, most precious briar. System Standard first appeared in 1945, but the entry-level design has been a staple in catalogs since Charles Peterson obtained his final patent in 1898. Designed to provide a fresher, drier smoke, each pipe features a deep reservoir inside the shank to collect excess moisture; a tapered-hole mouthpiece that channels the smoke and allows moisture to collect inside the reservoir; a robust nickel military-style shank/tenon that allows disassembly and cleaning of the pipe without damage or deformation; and our patented P-Lip tip, which draws the smoke upward, thereby reducing tongue bite. Extremely light and with a roomy, deep bowl, for relaxing and intense smokes. Note in this model the dark briar color that enfolds the entire body of the pipe. The classic dark walnut color complements the glossy finish and the band; this is an elegant and functional tobacco pipe. The external finish may vary slightly from the image since every Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece. Variations refer only to the briar grain shades; measurements and shape do not vary. The pipe will be shipped with its original box and pouch.
