Framed dimensions (complimentary) cm 74x65 Paulémile Pissarro (1884–1972), son of the great Camille Pissarro, belongs to the famous impressionist artistic dynasty of the Pissarros. Raised in his father’s painterly milieu, he developed a personal landscape sensitivity tied to light, nature, and French river views. The work is signed “Paulémile-Pissarro,” depicting a suggestive autumn landscape along the Orne. Oil on canvas depicting an elegant naturalistic glimpse near a body of water, with a tree in the foreground and autumnal vegetation. The painting stands out for a thick, lively brushwork, with visible impasto and a luminous rendering typical of the post-impressionist tradition. The composition is balanced, with good spatial depth and remarkable color sensitivity in greens, blues, and ocher-yellow tones. Signed at the lower right Paul Émile Pissarro. On the back there are inscriptions and old labels. Oil on canvas, in a decorative frame. The frame is to be understood as complimentary #frenchexclu
