Paul Delvaux - Originele handgeschreven en gesigneerde...

Original hand-written and signed card by the Belgian Surrealist artist Paul Delvaux (1897-1994) addressed to an employee of Le Rail, a publication linked to the railway world. This points to a concrete media context surrounding the artist. The text refers to a television broadcast and an RTB article. The envelope addressed to Monsieur Tillieu, associated with Le Rail SNCB. The card Die Schule der Gelehrten 1968 contains a personal message in French and is signed P.Delvaux. P.Delvaux is known for his fascination with stations and trains, making the link to the railway publication materially meaningful. This makes the whole not merely a signed object, but an documentary ensemble that provides insight into his professional contacts and public presence. This has normal signs of use consistent with its age. It was written exactly on the back of the envelope, but that does not bother since it is listed as 35x26 cm. Delivered with a COA certificate and a list in which the name is confirmed. Original envelope with address of P.Delvaux, Avenue des campanules 34-BXL Well packed and shipped with track&trace.
