Its design deliberately recalls the clean, architectural language of the manufacture’s mid-century calendar watches, while housing a thoroughly modern automatic complication. The silvery dial is particularly harmonious. Day and month appear together through twin apertures beneath 12 o’clock, while the date is displayed in a separate window at 6. Between them sits the moon-phase display combined with a 24-hour indication, creating a symmetrical vertical composition of considerable clarity. Applied faceted indexes and slender hands reinforce the understated character of the watch. The annual calendar mechanism automatically distinguishes between 30 and 31-day months, requiring manual correction only once a year at the end of February. It is driven by the self-winding calibre 324 S QA LU 24H, combining the practical calendar complication with Patek Philippe’s traditional approach to refined automatic watchmaking. At 38 mm, the white gold case remains discreet and beautifully proportioned, allowing the dial architecture to command attention without sacrificing the elegance expected of a classical Patek Philippe complication. The present example, dating from circa 2010, is accompanied by its original fitted box and Certificate of Origin.
