Partial Sheet of (2) Lipan, Texas. $10-$10 1929 Ty. 2. Fr. 1801-2. First NB. Charter #10598. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 30. A veritable relic that somehow went unissued. This uncut pair of T2 $10s attributable to the First National Bank of Lipan (Charter# 10598) represent part of the last sheet of T2 $10s delivered to this bank in Hood County during the 1930s. According to data compiled by Louis Van Belkum, the First National Bank took delivery of approximately 176 sheets of T2 $10s with a total of 1,056 individual impressions representative of a variety of plate positions. Today only six survivors are known from the aforementioned total while 35 non-institutional pieces are recorded overall on this bank that surprisingly still lingers under its original title here in 2026 by the National Bank Note Census. PCGS Banknote comments "Small Edge Tear." Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
