Parker 51 Vacumatic. It is in very good condition. Gold cap and blue body. Produced between 1941 and 1948, it combined the futuristic aerodynamic body made of Lucite (PMMA), its characteristic hooded nib, and the vacuum-filling system inherited from the Parker Vacumatic line of the 1930s. Main features of the Vacumatic filling system: Unlike later models (Aerometric), it is not filled by squeezing an internal metal band. It features a hidden push button under a blind cap at the rear end of the barrel. By pressing it repeatedly, a rubber diaphragm generates a vacuum inside the barrel itself.
