Paolo Mayer Fantisco (1863-1943) - Laguna veneta

P. Mayer Fantisco - Rare Venetian Lagoon Early 1900s: Light and Suspended Enchantment A masterpiece of light and silence: the lost magic of the Venetian Lagoon. Unique lot, exceptionally without reserve, for refined collectors: a splendid and very rare oil on panel work by master Paolo Mayer Fantisco (1863-1943), dating to the early years of the 20th century. The painting depicts the ancient Venetian cottage of "Torson di Sotto", a strip of land and history today unfortunately completely disappeared due to lagoon erosion. This painting is not only a work of art, but a precious and poignant historical testimony. • An incomparable chromaticity: the palette moves in warm, soft, and golden tones. The composition appears magically suspended between water and sky, blending the elements into a motionless, timeless atmosphere. • Primal beauty and the sublime: The impasto with a spatula creates incredible delicacy, capable of conveying a sense of absolute peace and total fusion with the coastal nature. An original, intimate work entirely unique in its kind. • Presentation: The painting is framed in a splendid period frame that enhances its horizontal luminosity. The back bears the authentic historical inscription of the place. Dimensions: • Painting only: 21.5 x 51 cm • With frame: 37 x 66 cm Note for bidders: The photo of the painting ambient in the room with a view of the lagoon has purely illustrative and demonstrative purposes, designed to show the proportions, charm, and elegance of the work within an ideal exhibition context. The frame and any matte are supplied with the artwork and exclusively as a courtesy. No responsibility is accepted for any damage.
