Paolo Contin - Una luce verso i confini del tempo

Paolo Contin A Light Toward the Edges of Time "A sudden light crosses forms and colors, making a way through the shadows of the present and the mysterious boundaries of time. PAOLO CONTIN has been developing a personal artistic path for over twenty-five years, in continuous evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he transfers to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance. Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo exhibition in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with presence in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney. Paolo Contin’s artistic journey is also documented by his inclusion in the Mondadori Art Catalogue with relevant quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in the Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major Art Fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute. He was also among the founding members of Tostart, an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the period of the Pandemic. An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, matter painting, and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he explores balance, movement, and emotion. Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a research that goes beyond the confines of painting alone. His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: every work is born from the will to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity."
