Decorative wooden wall panel depicting a lively scene in the heart of a medina alleyway in the Orient. The composition features an old man conversing with young boys near a water point, in front of an architecturally ornate door adorned with geometric motifs evoking Moorish ceramics (zelliges). In the background, a veiled silhouette crosses the alley dominated by traditional façades. The piece is executed using a technique combining wood marquetry of contrasting woods, line engraving work, and touches of color. The panel is framed by a rich border of vegetal arabesques. Style: Orientalism Provenance: Private collection, Belgium. Shipping: Careful, rigid and secure shipment with tracking number.
