Pakistan - Carpet - 269 cm - 75 cm - Pakistani runner

An elongated brick-red central medallion with a light core stands out from the beige inner field of this hand-knotted runner from Pakistan. Small flowers, leaves and branched scrolling fill the surface. Several smaller decorative motifs above and below the medallion emphasize the longitudinal axis. Rosy-pink, bluish-gray and dark details complement the warm color scheme. Bluish-gray corner areas with curved contours enclose the light inner field at both ends. A red border with recurring flower and leaf motifs frames the Oriental rug. Narrow patterned accompanying bands pick up the dark outlines of the design. Light fringes form the finish on both narrow sides. With its dimensions of 269 × 75 cm this narrow wool rug is suitable for a longer hallway, a foyer, or the area beside the bed. On light floors the red framing provides a warm accent. A wooden console and cream-colored interior accessories match the beige ground. Individual details in muted red or bluish gray pick up the pattern colors and connect the runner to the furnishings.
