Made by Patrick Mavros in Zimbabwe. Each: Leafing and budding stalks with snapped-off bits; socket has irregular grass border. The bamboo here is not a symbol of exoticism but an everyday plant that flourishes in the silversmith’s native Africa. Marks include maker’ stamp and English date letter for 2002; bobeches have 1997 date letter. Very good condition with deep patina. Dimensions: 1st: H 13 x W 4 1/4 x D 3 1/2 in. 2nd: H 9 1/4 x W 2 1/2 x D 2 3/8 in. Heavy total weight: 58 troy ounces. #CE187
