Pair of Neo-Empire Lamps, 1950s Design. French School. 20th Century

Descriptio Cast and gilded bronze with patinated black elements. Dimensions: 67 cm x 23 cm x 23 cm. Each lamp takes the form of a tripod with stylized supports culminating in female heads and claw-shaped ends, supporting a flared central body topped with a golden flame. The harmonious proportions and sinuous lines evoke the dynamism of Art Nouveau and the functional elegance of European modernist design. The combination of matte and glossy finishes reinforces the sculptural interpretation of the ensemble. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist.
