A pair of monumental Louis XVI style decorative urns fashioned from substantial variegated pink and grey marble with cast gilt metal mounts. Each large-scale vessel features a heavy ovoid marble body with dark veining, topped by a fitted gilt metal cover accented with a pinecone finial. The flanking side handles are formed as sculptural entwined serpents, while the main bodies are supported by cast metal socles detailed with leaf and dart borders.
